New Director of Environmental Health, Safety and Fire Services at Queen Mary’s, University of London

The London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) has bid a farewell to its Director of Facilities/DSO, Kevin Thurlow who has left this position to take up the role of Director Of Environmental Health, Safety and Fire Services for all of Queen Mary’s – University of London.
Kevin is a qualified Health and Safety Practitioner of Chartered Status who comes from a strong laboratory and research background, backed with a number of safety, science and management qualifications. Kevin’s career has included work at the Wellcome Foundation, the National Institute of Medical Research, the MRC’s new Clinical Sciences Centre at the Hammersmith Hospital site, Imperial College School of Medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute and more recently as Deputy Head of Health and Safety Operations for Cancer Research UK. He joined the LCN in April 2009 on a temporary contract which lasted 18 months.
