Safety first for new partner at Ward Hadaway

LAW firm Ward Hadaway has strengthened its health and safety and environment teams with the recruitment of partner Kirsty Gomersal.

Kirsty GomersalKirsty (left) was formerly head of regulatory at law firm Cobbetts and has a wealth of experience in the field.

She advises both organisations and individuals on a wide range of compliance and risk management issues as well as carrying out regular training sessions on such issues.

Kirsty has guided clients through investigations, prosecutions and other enforcement action by regulatory bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency, the Office of Fair Trading and various local authority Trading Standards teams.

She is an experienced advocate, having Higher Rights of Audience in all courts, enabling her to represent companies and individuals in coroner’s inquests, criminal courts and tribunals.

Kirsty has advised companies and directors on proceedings connected with a number of work-related fatalities, including advising on corporate manslaughter issues.
